Education Sector Gained More Capital Project - Oshiomole
The need to drive change and lay a solid foundation for our future leaders especially those in primary and secondary schools took center stage today at a town hall meeting held in Benin city the Edo state capital.
Governor Adams Oshiomole who spoke at the meeting to jump start the deliberation said the Education sector among others has received the largest attention in terms of capital project in the last five years and that there was need to examine the progress it has made so far.
The Governor who expressed displeasure over what the present schools has become said there is no better time to address some of the ugly situation which has become of the public schools that supposedly mode our future leaders especially the teachers where many have being found wanting to have fallen below standards.
The Governor therefore said this cannot allow thrive as a critical assessment of teachers will be conducted to determine those to remain or those who will finally be shown the way out.
One of the royal fathers who attended the town hall meeting His Royal Highness the Otaru Of Auchi Aliru Momoh, the ikekebe (111) and the Commissioner for Education in their submission in an interview commended the Governor and said it was laudable one that sanitize the system.
