Beyonce visits Ann Frank House in Amsterdam
Beyoncé Knowles and husband Jay Z took a break from their busy schedules to visit the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.
The couple, who are currently travelling across Europe with Bey's Mrs Carter tour, spent a few hours at the Frank family safe-house on Wednesday.
The family were discovered by Nazis in 1944 after hiding successfully for two years, Anne died in early March, 1945, after contracting typhoid in Belsen concentration camp.
Beyoncé, wearing a denim jumpsuit and black hat, was pictured signing the visitors book, and looking around the home before posing for discreet pictures taken by her husband.
'They were very impressed by their visit,' an Anne Frank House spokesperson revealed.
Gillian Walnes, executive director of the Anne Frank Trust UK, said the visit 'sends a very positive message to young fans.
'It invites their curiosity about knowing more – reading Anne’s diary, or even visiting the Anne Frank House'
