Kanye West Postpones Dates For Austrailian Tour
It was one of the most anticipated live shows of 2014, but it seems Kanye West fans will have to wait another three months for Yeezus to rise.
The famous rapper announced on today that he has postponed his Australian tour to finish work on his new studio album.
His concert dates Down Under have been pushed from May 2 to May 11 to September 5 to September 15 later this year.
'Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia,' said a statement on Ticketek's website.
Tickets for May shows are still valid for the new set of dates.
West has yet to announce a title for his seventh studio album, which is a follow-up to the Grammy Award nominated Yeezus which was released last year.
He has previously said that he intends to release the record mid-2014, with Rick Rubin and Q-Tip set to produce.
It would top off what has already been a massive year for the rapper, who already appeared on the cover of Vogue with his fiance and mother of his child North, reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
It was labelled a controversial choice of editor Anna Wintour's, with celebrities such as Sarah Michelle Gellar and Naomi Campbell speaking out against it.
