Ortom receives PDP governors, national chairman
Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom has assured the people of the state that he will not be moved by acts of intimidation, blackmail, and persecution orchestrated by his detractors against him.
Governor Ortom, made this known when the national chairman of PDP Uche Secondus and led some PDP governors to pay him a visit in Makurdi, the state capital with a rousing welcome.
The governor who welcome the PDP chieftains and governors to Makurdi, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to call his appointees to order particularly the inspector general of police for allegedly ordering the withdrawal of policemen deployed to protect victims of herdsmen attacks taking refuge at the internally displaced person camps in the state.
While expressing dissatisfaction over the continuous impunity and illegality being perpetrated by the police over his defection from the APC, the national chairman of the PDP, Uches Secondus, who welcome Gov Ortom, to the party, assured him not to be wary of what is happening but that the party has come to support throw his weight behind him.
