Abducted ex-health minister's son released
Authorities of the Oyo State Police Command has announced the release of the son of the former minister of health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, Dayo Adewole who was kidnapped yesterday.
Dapo was released a few hours after the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 11, Leye Oyebade led a delegation of senior officers to the scene of the incident at iroko village.
It was gathered that the rescue team, made up of policemen, soldiers and local hunters combed the forest throughout Tuesday night. While the assistant inspector general of police in charge of zone 11, Leye Oyebade, under the instruction of the inspector general of police, led a delegation of senior officers to the scene of Tuesday.
Oyebade, therefore, appealed to residents of the state and Nigerians at large to be security conscious stressing that people should be careful of those they employed as domestic staff.
Police also declared that no ransom was paid for the release of Dayo from his abductors.
