The Nigerian Army has launched an internal security Operation, codenamed Operation Harbin Kunama 2 in the North Central and North Eastern parts of the Country.

Operation Harbin Kunama 2, is an Hausa language which means "Scorpion Sting 2"‎.
Addressing Journalists in Abuja, Army’s Chief of Training and Operations, Major General David Ahmadu says the exercise is intended to effectively checkmate the nefarious activities of marauding criminals in Kaduna, Kano and Plateau States.
‎According to general Ahmadu, Operation Harbin Kunama 2 is to be conducted within 1 and 3 Divisions Area of Responsibilities from Tuesday 18 to Saturday April 22, 2017.
