Army Rescues 4 Kidnap Victims in Delta
The Nigerian Army troops has secured the freedom of four kidnap victims after a fierce gun battle with suspected kidnappers in the remote forest of Ugbolu in Delta State.
According to a statement by Major Emmanuel Onoja, Assistant Director
Army Public Relations made available to newsmen, said acting on credible intelligence, the troops launched the operation and engaged the kidnappers in a fierce gun battle before rescuing the victims.
The rescued victims according to the military have received necessary medical attention and support before being reunited with their families. Reports indicated that the victims have been held captive in the forest for several days, with the kidnappers demanding a significant amount as ransom for their release.
The Nigerian Army urge members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies promptly, saying the 63 Brigade remains committed to eliminating all forms of criminality in Delta State and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
