Some Benue residents have dismissed claims making the rounds that Governor Samuel Ortom last four administration was a failure but expresses hope that the next four years will evolve progress and development.

Austin Ochei and Samuel Teide, made this remark today at the 2nd inauguration of the reelection of Gov Samuel Ortom at the IBB square in Makurdi, they admitted that there is a lot to be done this next administration fixing and making it an all-inclusive government.

Meanwhile the Re-elected Governor of Benue state, Dr Samuel Ortom, who shortly after observing the parade and being sworn in for the second term, appealed to the people of the state not to use the wrongs and mistakes of the last four years of his administration to judge his next four year tenure, promising to rewrite and correct all the mistakes.

Governor Ortom, who expressed delight to the people for his reelection, assured them that his second term will see a lot of progress and development, calling on members of the opposition to join hands with him to make Benue great.

Meanwhile, other speakers at the occasion called on Benue people to support the new PDP led government to ensure that this administration carries out all the policy thrust of the state government and called on the opposition parties to withdraw all petitions in court.

Governor Ortom, determined to start work in earnest appointed SSG and chief of staff in order to commence work immediately.
