Edo state governor Monday Okpebholo has declared a state of emergency in public schools across the state. The governor made this known when he embarked on inspection tour of some schools in Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo South senatorial district.

Governor Okpebholo expressed displeasure over the state of the schools visited, saying the children deserved better. On her part, the state chairman of the state secondary education also stressed on the dilapidated structures.
