Benue State zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested two men; Moses Adukwu and Iorlumun Reuben for currency counterfeiting and fraud. 

The Zonal Head, Public Affairs Department, of EFCC NWANYINMA Okeanu  in a statement issued said the two men were picked up by officials of Department of State services from being lynched by angry mob in Vandeikya local government area of the state and transferred them to EFCC when they discovered the two had bought airtime with fake currency.

Moses Adukwu during interrogation reveals that for N50,000 real currency, he gets about four hundred thousand naira fake naira notes in four packets. He then sells each pack of fake currency for twenty-five thousand Naira of real currency.

Meanwhile, the two suspects are assisting the EFCC in their investigations and will soon be arraigned in court.
