Members of the opposition in the House of Representatives on Friday staged a walkout during consideration of the Electoral Act Amendment Bill following refusal by the presiding chairman, Ahmed Idris Wase to revisit clause 52 by dividing the House.

The Minority Caucus led by its leader, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu said the caucus is totally disappointed with the deputy Speaker, as well as the NCC team who they said told blatant lies about not having adequate network coverage to enable electronic transmission of results.

Speaking separately after they walk out they said they are happy that Nigerians saw the illegal passage of the controversial clause in the Electoral act amendment bill.
