Following the current growing and rising tension among  Oke-Ogun residents in neighbouring Oyo state and herders, the leader of Hausa/ Fulani in Ogun state, the Sarkin Awusawa Ogun State, Ibrahim Hazzan-Hazzan has appealed to his kinsmen to continue to live in peace with their neighbours.

Responding to questions from reporters in Abeokuta, the state capital, the Sarkin Hausa said a task force has been put in place to check unwholesome activities of killer herdsmen, just as night gracing has been prohibited

While assuring the host communities at his Sabo Abeokuta residence of utmost cooperation and respect, he, however, asked herders to comport themselves within the ambit of the law to ensure that the relative peace being enjoyed in the state is not violated

He, however, denied that the Sarkin Fulani from Igangan, Oyo state is currently taking abode in Odeda local government area of Ogun, saying the Fulani leader has moved to Ilorin his hometown.
