Group tasks Bauchi Governor on appointments
The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has been urged to be weary of appoint people with no regard to the values and norms of the society into leadership positions in the state.
The leadership of Toro Joint Action for Moral Sanity, a community-based organization in a statement by its chairperson, Hajiya Ladi Danlami, expressed concern about the action of the State Commissioners of Health and Education in a recent viral video.
The group questioned the choice of the commissioners, who belong to local governments, to spend their time and resources in such a frivolous manner.
It also raised concerns about the appointment of individuals to sensitive positions, who might not be able to uphold their oath of office as public servants, arguing that such individuals should resign from their positions if they cannot fulfill their responsibilities.
Furthermore, the group urged the state Governor not to appoint such individuals again, given his own background and religious values.
