IGP Adamu decorates six new IGPs
The Nigerian Police has promoted six officers to the rank of deputy inspector of police.
Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu who decorated the officers in Abuja, Friday, said the officers were elevated due to their diligence in delivering their duties.
IGP Adamu said the officers were dedicated to their duties and led their various departments with strategic thinking.
He said they exhibited qualitative police management strategies capable of driving the next level agenda of the present administration.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Alex Opara who responded on behalf of other newly promoted officers, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the IGP for their support and recognition of their efforts in the strive to provide adequate security for the country.
He said the officers will do more to deliver in the aspirations and vision of the police to attain international standards.
Other officers who were decorated by the IGP include; Celestine Okoye, Shehu Lawan and Ogunjemilusi Adeyemi.
Others are Danwawo Abdul Dahir and Ogunyanwo Babatunde.
