Nigeria has again been thrown into darkness as the National grid collapsed again on Thursday

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company confirmed the development to its customers through its social media handles.

The AEDC said the national grid collapsed at about 4:28 pm, plunging the country into darkness.

The Company attributed the current power outage to a system failure from the national grid adding that, the system collapsed at about 16:28 hours today 28 March 2024, causing the outage currently being experienced across our franchise area.

It appealed for the understanding of all customers as well as all stakeholders noting that it's officials are working hard to restore normal supply.

Also, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company confirmed the development as it informed customers of a system collapse at 16:28hrs which has resulted in a loss of power supply across our network.
