Nigerian Army Hands Over Exhibits, Suspects to Police
The Nigerian army sector 4 command operation Delta safe in Calabar has achieved a great feat over crime and criminality in the state, the commander while handing over suspects to the police said some of the criminals are on the most wanted list as well as some ex-convicts.
The Sector 4 command operation Delta Safe in his mandate to protect the oil and gas infrastructure in collaboration with other security agents, while handing over eight suspects to the police with the exhibits found on them, also handed over illegal petroleum products to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,( EFCC)
The commander sector 4 Col. Idonibonye-Obu said the suspects have admitted to committing the crime, raising the upsurge of kidnapping, sea piracy and robbery to be on the increase in the state.
Col. Idonibonye-Obu further said the command also arrested a cement mixer which contained illegal petroleum products as some of the suspects denied knowledge of the crime.
The commander says the command will continue to work with other security agents and he urges residents to cooperate with the sector to give timely and credible information as the sector is committed to eliminating crime in the state.
