Notorious kidnap suspect, Anthony Ogbalor, popularly known by his street name as Dracula who arrested in December by the Delta state police command has reportedly died in police detention at the state police headquarters in Asaba, the Delta state capital.
According to a family source, Dracula who was arrested over the alleged offense of conspiracy, armed robbery, and kidnapping, was said to have died under questionable circumstances in police custody.
When contacted, the Delta police spokesperson, Andrew Aniamaka confirmed the death of the suspected kidnap kingpin, saying he died at the police hospital after taken ill in their custody.
On the allegation that the state police command killed him as a result of his contacts with politicians who used him during elections, Aniamaka denied the allegation while also condemning the report.
The death of Dracula is the second in one week after another notorious kidnap suspect Karowei died in the custody of JTF.
It will be recalled that the 57-year-old suspect was paraded alongside thirty other suspects by the former police commissioner, Zanna Ibrahim, who said he was arrested after kidnapping a suspect in Warri and was later released under suspicious circumstances, hence he complained to the Delta state governor before his recent arrest with his operational Toyota Corolla car, bearing a Lagos registration number.
