Oba of Benin Tasks NDLEA On Cannabis Research
The Oba of Benin Oba Ewuare 2nd has tasked the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA to undertake a study into the use of cannabis for medical use.
The Oba made the suggestion when he received men of the anti-narcotic agency led by the Edo state commander Mr. Alumona Obioma.
The first class traditional ruler challenged the NDLEA, Federal ministry of health and NAFDAC, to look beyond illicit drug seizure by following the footsteps of other countries.
Responding, the Edo NDLEA commander seeks partnership with the monarch, in tackling illicit drugs and the challenges it poses.
