The Ekiti state police command has assured residents of the state of its continued determination to fight crime to a standstill.

 These are the words of the state police public relations officer, Albert Adeyemi while parading a five man gang who operated around the Okere area of the state’s capital.

Adeyemi said the police in Ekiti state are well equipped to fight crimes and criminality to a standstill, urging members of the public to support the police in its efforts to rid the state of criminality.

Two of the victims who confessed to have participated in the robbery operations said it’s their first time.

One of the victims of the robbery incident, OLuyemi Oladokun said his ability to identify one of the suspects led to the arrest of the gang. He said he was surprised to see the person they drank palm wine together in the afternoon is the same person who shot at him later in the day.

However, the police assured that the suspects will be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law.
