Protest Organizers Threaten Bigger Protest If Their Leaders Are Not Released
Organizers of the August 1 to 10 2024 nationwide protests have called on Federal Government to immediately order the release of their members that are still in the custody of the Directorate of Security Services and Nigeria Police.
The comrades made the call while while addressing Journalists at a suppose protest to decry their dissatisfaction about the arrest of their members during the last protests.
Today's planned protest at the federal high court in abuja was not successful as security agencies barricaded the Court environment as the arrested protesters were not brought to court.
The protest organizers however urged the Government to be swift in it's action as continuous detention of the activists amount to infringement on their Human rights.
They insist that those currently being held are not responsible for the disruption and thuggery witnessed durung the peaceful protest.
They further threatened to embark on another protest as soon as possible, if Federal Government failed to release their members and also give them fair trials.
