Service Chiefs, Security Heads Appear Before Senate Over Insecurity
The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday entered into a closed-door meeting with the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu and the nation’s service chief over the worrying state of security in the country.
The meeting was billed for last week but was shifted to this week because of the absence of some security heads.
alaxy Tv News reports that the security chiefs present are Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff; Taoreed Lagbaja, chief of army staff; Emmanuel Ogalla, chief of naval staff; and Hassan Abubakar, chief of air staff.
Nuhu Ribadu, national security adviser (NSA); Kayode Egbetokun, inspector-general of police (IGP); and Yusuf Bichi, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS); are some of the heads of security present, Also present are the ministers of finance, interior, and defence.
