The Supreme Court has upheld the election victory of Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.

In arriving at this conclusion, the Apex court admitted that the appeal filed by Prof.Sani Yahaya of the New Nigerian Peoples Party lack merit.

The court in the judgement read by Justice Garuba lawal upheld the judgement of the lower court in that, the court below was right to have dismissed the appeal due to incomplete record supplied by the Appellant.

Justice Lawal held that the resolution of issue one has subsumed other issues raised by the Appellant, as it formed the foundation of the Appeal.

He therefore dismissed.the appeal due to incomplete record, which according to him remains central and crucial to the grounds of the appeal.

Other members of the panel in their respective decisions dismissed the Appeal.

The appellants had prayed the Supreme Court to set aside the judgement of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which affirmed Kefas as the winner of the governorship election that was held in the state on March 18, 2023.
