12 Die, 1 Survives Fatal Accident Along Sagamu/Benin Expressway,
On Friday June 26th a terrible auto crash occurred along Ago-Iwoye- Ilishan Junction, along Sagamu/Benin Expressway. Over 10 people died from the fatal crash, including some students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, parents and students of the institution have been visiting the State Teaching Hospital in Sagamu.
Already, the Ogun State Police Command has declared that eight students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, were among the 12 victims of the auto crash.
It has since been reported that three of the victims were pre-degree students, while the only survivor is a 300-level Chemistry student of the institution.
Families and relatives of the victims were also said to have besieged the morgue of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, in search of the corpses of their relations involved in the accident.
Our correspondent learnt that the grieving family members were directed to a private morgue in Sagamu, where the corpses were deposited.
As at the time of this report there has been no response from the authorities of the Olabisi Onabanjo University on the incident. However a day of mourning in honor of the students who lost their lives has been arranged by the Student union body of the institution.
