Bayelsa Bye-Election: Bayelsa CP Assures Violent Free Poll
Ahead of Saturdays senatorial bye-elections in two senatorial districts of Bayelsa west and central, the state police commissioner Mike Okoli has said that the Bayelsa police command is prepared for a violent free poll.
He made the remarks at the police headquarters in Yenagoa, the state capital while speaking with our correspondent Dele Fasan on their preparedness.
Speaking on the Bye-Election, the Bayelsa police boss stressed that the initial postponement of the election gave them more time to up their game ahead of Saturday's election.
He appealed to Bayelsans to come out en-masse to vote for candidates of their choice come Saturday as there is adequate security to protect them.
Twelve political parties are contesting for the Bye-election in two senatorial districts of five local government areas of Bayelsa state.
