Oba of Lagos advises Olubadan, Ajimobi
Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu has called for mutual respect and understanding between the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji and Governor Abiola Ajimobi over the lingering chieftaincy tussle in ibadan.
Speaking in Ibadan at the Lauching of the N50 billion Education Trust Fund, the monarch described Oba Adetunji and Governor Ajimobi as forthright personalities who should understand eachother and ensure that peace reign in the land.
Oba Akiolu lauded the education policy of the Abiola Ajimobi led administration calling for the suport of all and sundry in this regard.
In their separate remarks at the event, the Chairman of the Oyo State Education Trust Fund, a former Minister, Chief Onikepo Akande charged all stakeholders in the state to be concern with the education standard in oyo while the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Adeniyi Olowonifela says the present administration is committed to enhance education in the state.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi maintained that the trust fund if well managed will put the state back as front runner in the education sector.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards to the best students in Oyo state in the West Africa Council Examination, best teacher in the state as well as best education friendly companies in the state.
