Eagles Should Not Be Afraid of Argentina - Nwosu

Henry Nwosu, ex-international says the Super Eagles will not fail to go beyond the first round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil saying the team should not be afraid of playing Argentina during the preliminary stage of the biggest football tournament.

Speaking to Complete Sports yesterday in Lagos, the Gateway FC of Abeokuta gaffer said he was impressed with the commitment of both the Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi and the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF towards the World Cup billed to hold next summer.

“I see the Super Eagles going beyond the first round at the World Cup but we must make sure we pay full attention to every game we are going to play in Brazil and our players should not give Argentina any preferential treatment, we have played them before and they should try as much as possible to approach the match with confidence and belief that they can do it”, says the soccer tactician.

“I must praise Keshi for the transformation he has brought to the team and with the caliber of players we have there now, I am sure that we have the team that can stand any pressure but our players must have confidence in themselves and self belief as well.

Nwosu also believes that the commitment of both the Nigeria Football Federation and the Super Eagles gaffer towards the World Cup has been very commendable.

Nigeria will play Iran, Bosnia Herzegovina and Argentina in the first round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
