The Minister of Youth and  Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare has declared the intention of the present administration in the country to ensure youth development through sports.

Speaking in Ibadan on Saturday, the Minister stated that his ministry would focus on youth development at all levels.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare was in infant to be part of a sports summit for students of public and private schools in Oyo State.

He described sports as a venture for empowering the youth stressing that this explains why his ministry decided to accord priority to sports development at all levels.

Sunday Dare called on all stakeholders to collaborate with his ministry in this regard adding that the present administration has decided to promote youth development encourage through sports.

Governor Seyi Makinde on his part lauded the organisers for the initiative noting that the youth music be engaged at all times.

He urged them to desist from drug abuse and other vices but should engage in sporting activities for personal development.
