Herve Renard is out of the running for the Bafana job
The South African Football Association seem to have been dealt another blow in their hunt for the new Bafana Bafana coach, with another candidate out of the running.
Herve Renard, who is currently with the Moroccan national team, had been linked with the post as SAFA continue their search for Shakes Mashaba’s successor, however the Siya crew has now been informed that he is no longer in the running.
the parties couldn’t agree on terms and SAFA have been forced to look elsewhere for the man to lead Bafana forward.
Carlos Queiroz was originally the first choice for the job as a favourite of Danny Jordaan’s, however SAFA went after Renard following the Iranian FA’s decision to play hardball for the Portuguese coach’s release. The Bafana squad for the upcoming games against Angola and Guinea-Bissau will be announced at 11am tomorrow morning, however it appears there will be no new coach to present.
