The Ondo State government has begun a Sports programme in schools across the state to attract the interest of the young ones, in order to encourage and improve sporting activity in the State.

A special catch them young programme has been introduced in schools through the state sports council where young school children will be trained in various sporting activities like football and various athletics events.

In order to achieve best result through the programme, sporting kits like foot wear were distributed to potential champions.

At the Oba-Ile Secondary School when the management of the Ondo State sports council in company of the commissioner for sports, Kekebimi Idhiarhi went to distribute canvass to some of the student as a form of support to encourage them in sporting activities.

The chairman of the council, Elder Mic Adeyeye and the general manager,Joyce Idowu Akinbulumo further explain the aims and objectives of the programme.
