Ogun VGN assures crime-free celebration
The Ogun state capital, Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) has said that as part of the security measures to ensure the safety of people and properties during the festive period, the command has already started intensive patrols in the metropolis, visibility policing, and deployment of personnel to strategic locations across the state.
The VGN Commandant in Ogun state, Adedoyin Nureni made this known while speaking with Galaxy television's correspondent in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
The commandant further assured that the agency is aware that the season will be characterised by an upsurge in criminal activities, hence security arrangements have been put in place for a hitch-free end of year celebrations
While wishing the people of Ogun state a fruitful celebration, the VGN Boss also used the medium to call on members of the public to be peaceful during the Christmas and new year celebrations.
