64 Covid-19 patients in Oyo state have been discharged after they have received their second negative test results.

Governor Seyi Makinde who made the disclosure in a tweet monitored in Ibadan disclosed that the total number of discharged cases in Oyo is now 176.

According to him, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for 36 cases came back positive bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 434.

Makinde revealed that community-based testing for COVID-19 has commenced in ten local government areas across the state.

The council areas include Oluyole, Lagelu, Ibadan South East, Ibadan North, Ibadan southwest, Oyo East, Itesiwaju, Ogbomosho South, Ibarapa North and Saki East.
