Prisons Official Contracts COVID-19 in Ondo
As the country continues to battle coronavirus pandemic, Ondo state has recorded 25 cases with the latest one discovered yesterday.
This is contained in a verified twitter handle of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which made the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria at nine thousand three hundred and two.
An official of the Nigerian Correctional Services (formerly Prisons) who is resident at Ijoka road in Akure, has tested positive to COVID-19 and currently receiving treatment at the state Infectious Disease Hospital, Akure.
In lieu of this development, Ondo state government said it will intensify effort to ensure strict adherence to all measures at containing COVID-19 across the 18 local government areas to ensure the state does not become an epicenter for the virus.
