Amosun presents 2018 budget
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has presented N345.42billion 2018 Budget proposal to the State House of Assembly for its approval.
The 2018 Appropriation Bill was presented to lawmakers at the Chambers of Ogun State House of Assembly, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta ; according to Amosun, represents 57 increase compare to 2017 budget size of N221.09bn.
The governor explained that the 2018 appropriation would reflect on his administration resolve to achieve its campaign promises by embarking on new projects and completing ongoing ones.
Breakdown of the budget size shows N223.721bn allocated to Capital Expenditure, N121bn for Recurrent Expenditure, N81.869bn for Total Personal Cost, N68.369bn for Salaries and Allowances, N13.50bn for Pension and Gratuity and N39.829bn for Overhead Cost.
In his address, the Speaker, Hon Suraj Adekunbi said the legislature is committed to passage of laws and resolutions that will continue to facilitate policies and to enhance the provision of more infrastructural facilities for improved quality of life for Ogun residents.
