FG denies planned hike of PMS pump price
The federal government has ordered the minister of state for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachukwu to resolve the resurgence of long queues of vehicles at the filling stations across the country.
Kachikwu had during the FEC meeting on Wednesday, December 6, briefed council members of the availability of fuel and his ministry’s efforts at ensuring timely delivery of the product to everyfilling station.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Wednesday, the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammad denied allegations of the planned hike on pump price of premium motor spirit saying NNPC has enough product to serve the country.
He described allegations of scarcity as rumour saying government is working hard to ensure even spread of the product
The minister also advised Nigerians not to embark on panic buying as the government is planning to put a stop to the scarcity which is gradually becoming an annual event.
