Labour Party faction loyal to Lamidi Apapa has berated President of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Joe Ajaero over what its described as illegal appointment of Soz Ejiofor as BOT Chairman.

According to Abayomi Arabambi, the party's factional Publicity Secretary, the mission was targeted to fuel political insurrection that will assassinate the current democratic dispensation and disorganise the structure of the party.

Arabambi during a press conference in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, says NLC has no powers to initiate such pronouncement as stated in electoral act 2022, section 77 that a political party registered under this act shall be a corporate body with perpetual succession and a common seal that can sue and be sued in its corporate name.

He maintains that NLC must obey the law as they lack the constitutional power to appoint Caretaker committee otherwise, necessary action shall be taken.
