After promising to name his cabinet in two to three months’ time in piloting the affairs of his administration, the Bayelsa state Governor Douye Diri has appointed former speaker of the state house of assembly as the Secretary to the State Government.

The three-time speaker under the immediate past Governor Seriake Dickson was sworn-in after several rumours of being the anointed candidate of the former Governor.

Speaking on the appointment, the Governor urged the SSG to ensure government policies and programs are well implemented.

He charged him to prove his critics wrong through selfless service as the former speaker promised to bring Government policies to the limelight. 

The Governor had earlier promised to form an all-inclusive Government comprising different political parties in moving the state forward.
