Constituents move against House of Reps Member
In a bold move reflecting their commitment to upholding values and ensuring respect for constituted authority, the Ado Youth Solidarity Movement (ADYSM) has Condemned and distance themselves from the recent actions of Member of House of Representatives, Hon. Agbese Philip from Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in Benue State.
Hon. Agbese was captured in a circulating video removing the official portrait of Benue State's Executive Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, from his office wall in the National Assembly Abuja, coupled with disparaging remarks about the Governor and his office.
In a statement issued and signed by the group's National President, Hon. Eveh Dominic Ogbu, the movement distanced itself from Chief Agbese's conduct, stressing that his actions stand in stark contrast to the cultural ethos and traditions of the Ado people, characterized by benevolence and humility.
It then issued a 72-hour ultimatum to Chief Agbese, urging him to offer an apology to the Executive Governor of Benue State. Failure to comply might result in serious consequences, potentially involving protests and a demand for his resignation or recall.
The Movement emphasized the need for those In the position of power to continue to be shining examples to others and not otherwise.
