CORONA VIRUS: Rivers Health Ministry Affirms Preparedness to Fight COVID-19 in the State.
Following the outbreak of Coronavirus in Lagos state, from the arrival of an Italian into the country, the Rivers state ministry of health has affirmed its preparedness to fight the virus.
This was disclosed during a chat with Newsmen to ensure peace in the state.
The Rivers state ministry of health said it will work closely in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and the National center for disease control for the prevention of the Corona Virus in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, The director of Planning, research, and statistics ministry of health Dr. Chinwe Tonye-Atata assures that surveillance has been strengthened at the airport.
She further assured residents to be calm as there has been no case of the virus in the state.
Residents are advised to take precautions with the way they go about their daily lives, and are advised to make use of hand sanitizer, avoid persons with consistent cough and high fever.
