As part of measures to cushion the effect of the economic challenges faced by Nigerians. The Delta state government has taken delivery of the federal government palliatives.

Receiving the items which include thousands of bags of maize and garri at the government warehouse in Asaba, the secretary to the Delta state government Dr. Kingsley Emu said the government of Delta state has on his part given palliatives to civil servants in the state as he commend the federal government for the gesture.

On his part, the NEMA director general Mrs Zubaida Umar who was represented by Mr. Brandon Ibarakumor said the donation was the federal government contribution towards cushioning the plight of Deltans.
