#EndSARS Aftermath: Police Evaluate Level Of Damages, As Victims Count Losses
In line with the directives by the Inspector General of police for the immediate evaluation of burnt properties belonging to police officers and their wives during the #EndSARS protest across the country, some officers wives who had their homes and shops burnt have continued to count their losses.
The police officers wives who have been residing at the police barracks in the Delta and Anambra border town of Onitsha with their cars and homes burnt said they now seek shelters in churches with their children, as they call for a speedy evaluation and building of their homes.
As the Nigerian police team led by the deputy commissioner of police Patrick Ateyero commenced the inspection and evaluation of burnt properties, one would only hope it will not be an exercise in futility as most people remain homeless after hoodlums hijacked the protest.
