FG approves Construction of 13 Critical Infrastructure Projects at NMEC Kano
In a significant step towards strengthening the infrastructure of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult, and Non-Formal Education (NMEC) in Kano, the Federal Ministry of Education has signed an agreement with a Developer for the completion of the project.
The partnership marks the beginning of the development of thirteen critical infrastructure projects at the NMEC center in Kano, which will greatly enhance the Commission's capacity to deliver quality educational services.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, calling it a milestone achievement.
The Permanent Secretary further highlighted the significance of these projects, noting that they would contribute meaningfully to the development of Nigeria's education sector, particularly in the area of mass literacy and non-formal education.
He thanked all stakeholders involved for their tireless efforts in ensuring the success of this project.
Zubairu Abdullahi, Director of Special Duties at the Federal Ministry of Education, provided an overview of the project's journey.
The project was granted final approval by the Federal Executive Council, and the Federal Ministry of Justice has given full clearance for the agreement.
