EFCC Re-Arraigns Three for Alleged N20m Theft

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) Lagos Zonal Directorate has arraigned three persons, Chinyere Monye, Ajayi Justina, AER Global Investment LTD before Justice O.O Abike-Fadipe of the special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja on a five-count charge bordering on conspiracy to steal, stealing, obtaining under false pretense of 20m.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges when read to them. The EFCC prosecuting counsel Suleiman Suleiman prayed to the court for a trial date and also informed the court that he intend to call 6 witnesses.
M.O Hassan counsel to the first defendant and F.C Nnaji counsel to the second and third defendants prayed to the court that the defendants should continue on their previous bail provisions.Justice Fadipe adjourned the case to June 30, 2025 for trial and approved the application for the defendants to stand on their existing bail conditions.
