Flood sacks students, teachers in Delta school
Barely twenty-four hours after schools in Delta state resumed for the next educational session, an overnight rainfall which led to a heavy downpour have flooded the entire school premises of College of Commerce in Warri thereby preventing students and teachers from accessing classrooms.
Despite a wooden makeshift bridge erected by the school management to lead teachers and students to their classes, only few of them could dare to climb the bridge for fear of falling into the water.
Speaking on the flooding, the school principal appealed to the Delta state ministry of environment to come to their aid as access to classrooms have been flooded.
Some of the teachers who could not speak on camera as a result of their civil servant status stayed outside the school premises over what they described as not endangering their lives
