A middle-aged woman has been killed in Akinyele local government. She was hacked to death.

The killing is the 5th in three weeks in the council area.

A source who preferred anonymity informed our Correspondent that victim, a woman, was the wife of an Oyo indigene, popularly called Baba Habeeb. 

The incident happened in Shasha opposite the popular Ile-Ajibade in the early hours of Wednesday.

Another source who referred to the deceased as ‘Iya Islamia’, said the woman was killed with a cutlass by unknown persons while she was washing clothes.

The resident of the area who begged not to be mentioned noted that the community suspected ritualists as the brain behind the incessant killings in the local government area.

He called on the security agencies and the state government to halt the incessant killings in the local government area.

It was gathered that Policemen attached to Ojoo Division had visited the scene and have taken the corpse of the woman away.

Recall that last Monday, a four-year-old not was equally murdered to death in Akinyele by some unknown assailants.
