Fuel scarcity Looms Again in Lagos

In another turn of events, fuel scarcity is looming again in Lagos State. This is due to independent oil marketers' resistance to transporting fuel from Lagos, resulting in a supply shortage. However, this has sparked reactions from some Lagos residents. In this report, GALAXY TV examines the reactions of those affected by the plight.

A commercial driver named Chinedu Orji stated that he slept at the filling station and, at the time of filing this report, he has not been able to get fuel.

Kufre, a commercial tricyclist, stated that there is no fuel at the filling station and that 1 liter of fuel on the black market is ₦1,300.

Some filling stations are selling fuel only to those with cards. These were the words of Elvis, a Lagos resident. He lamented that he has been at the filling station since morning and is still unable to get fuel.

Another Lagos resident, Emmanuel, blamed the fuel scarcity on government inefficiency. He gave a detailed account of fuel prices at some filling stations.

On the other hand, Galaxy TV tried to interview some filling station officials, but they were unwilling to oblige.

The fuel scarcity has sparked reactions and issues causing the long queue of vehicles and traffic in some filling stations at the neighborhood in Ikeja, Lagos state.
