Ibafo residents lament power outage
Some residents of Ibafo, in Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun state are drawing the attention of the state government, and concerned authorities over the continued power outage in their community.
The organized residents under the umbrella of Concerned Ibafo residents Forum maintained that the perpetual outage in the area has greatly affected social-economic activities.
Despite its proximity to Lagos, the nation's economy hub, the social condition of living is worst. Although, they greatly lack social amenities but power supply seems to be their major concern for now; a challenge they have lived with for close to a decade.
Life, according to residents is pathetic after several years of unfulfilled promises and total blackout. Electricity poles and cables were installed by the people, yet, concerned authorities allegedly failed to energized it.
For the residents, standard of living can only get better for them if the government and concerned authorities will be more alive and decisive to their responsibilities by putting an end to the continued power outage.
