Islamisation: CAN call on government to be sensitive
While frowning at the forcing of Christians to pay association dues of other faith in the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna State has also advised government institutions to be sensitive to religious issues.
The Kaduna State CAN Chairman, Rev Joseph Hayap said it is not right for people of other faith to be forced to pay dues other than the faith they belong to.
Rev Joseph Hayep CAN chairman Kaduna state said that government institutions must be seen to be neutral in the way they handle their admission processes and in the content of their admission letters.
The outspoken religious leader also calls on Kaduna state government to respect the rule of law by doing justice to the Adara leaders arrested and still in detention while calling on the federal government to intervene in the issue.
Kaduna CAN said that besides, although the error was observed and corrected the refund to Christian students who had earlier paid the dues was still a clouded matter.
