Oyo state government has announced the dissolution of 643 schools Governing Boards in public secondary schools across the state.

The decision of our government was contained in a circular issued by the Office of the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye.

The Circular was addressed to the Accountant General, Auditor General, Zonal Inspector of Education, Local Inspector of Education and Principals of Public Secondary schools across the state.

Recall that the administration of the immediate past Governor of Oyo state, Late Abiola Ajimobi inaugurated the school Governing Board following the abysmal performance of students in public examinations.
