Ministerial Nominees Arrive Senate for Screening
President Bola Tinubu's Ministerial nominees have arrived at the National Assembly Complex for the much expected screening by the Senate. Recall that the exercise slated for yesterday was postponed till today for all the nominees to complete all processes required for the screening.
Galaxy Television reports that virtually all the nominees have arrived and are now at the office of the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters Senator Basheer Lado, waiting to be invited to the Senate Chamber. It has been observed that all the names of the nominees have been listed on the order paper as part of business of the day.
The seven ministerial nominees forwarded to the Senate for confirmation by President Bola Tinubu last week are: Dr Nentawe Yilwatda , Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi , Minister of Labour and Employment and Bianca Odinaka Odumegu - Ojukwu , Minister of State, Foreign Affairs .
Others are Dr Jumoke Oduwole , Minister of Industry , Trade and Development , Idi Muktar Maiha , Minister of Livestock Development , Rt Hon Yusuf Abdullahi Ata , Minister of State, Housing and Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad , Minister of State, Education. The nominees are expected to be screened and confirmed by the Senate in compliance with Section 147 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended).
