Obiano presents N166.9bn budget.
Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano has presented a total sum of 166.9 billion naira budget estimate to the state house of assembly for the 2018 fiscal year.
The governor described the budget as the budget of value for money, economic diversification and job creation.
Presenting the budget estimate to the Anambra state house of Assembly, Governor Willie Obiano says the 2018 appropriation bill is build to target an achievable developmental stride in line with the global demands of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which estimate its recurrent expenditure at 63.8 billion naira as against its capital expenditure at 103.3 billion naira with the projection of 43 dollar bar barrel.
The 2018 budget estiamte is expected to duel more on massive industrial revolution with equitable job creation basically in the Agriculture sector, Medium and small scale enterprises (MSME), investment for donor partners through public private partnership (PPP) and qualitative education to meet up with the government re-election promises.
The 2018 budget which is about 43 percent higher than the previous budget would target the rejuvenation of industrial hubs amongst the MSMEs and provide a more viable economy stands that will accommodate the expectation of slopping trend in the nation economic focus.
